A LITTLE BREAK

Is it just me or is overwhelm in the air? I know several other people who have been in this head space lately and I want to nip it in the butt.

I'll be taking the rest of the month to regroup, finish up projects (Pommel Lane is getting a fresh coat of... EVERYTHING!), and to come back with some great holiday pieces that I know you will be excited to snatch up!

You can still find me sharing pictures of beautiful Oklahoma skies, my squishy face co-worker, and lettering bits and pieces over on Instagram (@pommellane).

I hope you are absolutely loving the season change, the cider spices in the air and have something fun planned for Halloween. I am excited to dress up for the first time in FIVE. YEARS. because that is just waaaaay too long!

WHAT ARE YOU ENJOYING MOST ABOUT THIS FALL SEASON?

GREEN LEMONADE

Green Lemonade - Pommel Lane

This has to be the easiest recipe ever. I actually feel really bad even calling it a "recipe" but it is delicious. If you are trying to hold on to a little taste of summer, this is definitely the way to do it!

When I was in school my best friend and I practically lived at Panera Bread. It was one of our favorite places to get lunch and now, 8 years later, I still order the exact same thing. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?

One of our favorite things to get was a "secret menu" item though I don't think that have an actual secret menu. I googled it, they do have a hidden menu and this isn't on. Guess I just like messing with things or maybe it was just really popular back in Las Vegas during the heat. Either way, this drink is a refreshing and light drink to remind you of summer when the cold is getting you down. Pair with a burger or fish and yum yum.

GREEN LEMONADE

makes approximately 2 jugs worth

INGREDIENTS

1 gallon Green Tea
1 gallon Lemonade

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a glass, mix half green tea with half lemonade.
2. Adjust to taste and enjoy!

I've shared images to give you an idea about the amount of one to the other. I say start with a small glass and mix small amounts until you like the flavor (I lean to extra lemonade in this homemade version.)

While this is a great substitute, I highly recommend you ordering one next time you end up at Panera Bread! Happy refreshing!
